Our Business Development team focuses on identifying growth opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and expanding Solvay's presence in high-growth markets.

Develop and execute business development strategies to grow market share and revenue within the rare earth and permanent magnet industry Build and maintain strategic relationships with magnet manufacturers, alloy producers, recyclers, OEMs, and key industry stakeholders Identify new business opportunities through market analysis, competitive intelligence, and customer engagement activities Collaborate with internal teams to support product qualification, commercialization efforts, and customer technical requirements Manage strategic accounts, commercial negotiations, sales forecasts, and long-term supply agreements to achieve business objectives
We offer at-will employment based in the United States with a remote working model and travel requirements of approximately 30-50% throughout North America, along with occasional international travel to company locations.
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum of 7 years of sales, business development, account management, or commercial experience within the chemical, specialty materials, rare earth, advanced materials, or magnet industries.
Experience working within industrial manufacturing environments and familiarity with material qualification processes. Knowledge of permanent magnets, magnetic materials, rare earth products, or related technologies is highly desirable.

Attractive and equitable pay for all: compensation is determined within a range to foster your development in the role. The base pay expected for this role is: $129,000-$161,000 per year in the United States.
Additionally, we provide a competitive total rewards package that includes a bonus and/or other incentives.
