About the role

Our Strategic Partner Marketing Managers help our clients by consulting with their partners on strategic marketing decisions. The Strategic Partner Marketing Manager will act as the central coordination point across AWS and partner teams, ensuring partners are aligned, equipped, and activated to execute targeted marketing activities against prioritized accounts.

This role focuses on executing partner marketing planning and activation across the early stages of the lifecycle, ensuring all activities are structured to generate qualified pipeline and support transition into opportunity creation and co-sell execution led by partners and AWS. The Strategic Partner Marketing Manager will be working with 8 HiTech partners and 4 ECRT partners.

What you'll do

Partner Onboarding & Readiness

Support coordination of partner onboarding requirements Ensure partners are ready to participate in co-sell and marketing execution

Targeting & Account Planning

Develop and validate target account lists aligned to the customer segment Facilitate joint marketing planning and account mapping between AWS and partners

Marketing Activation & Asset Development

Assess if partners have a Field Ready Kits and campaign assets aligned to target accounts or segments Support the partner finding an agency to develop relevant content is unavailable Ensure messaging reflects specific use cases and workloads relevant to the segment Reduce ramp time through standardized playbooks and repeatable campaign frameworks Enable faster activation of newly onboarded or underutilized partners

Partner & Field Activation

Ensure partners execute targeted marketing activities tied to prioritized accounts Drive consistent flow of qualified leads into the co-sell process Coordinate joint outreach, events, and account engagement activities

Pipeline Readiness & Transition to Sales

While opportunity creation and deal conversion remain owned by partners, the vPMM will:

Ensure marketing activities are structured to generate qualified, actionable leads Support readiness for ACE opportunity creation and partner attribution Facilitate visibility into pipeline progression and alignment with sales teams Deliver Consistent and Scalable Execution Provide a single point of coordination (vPMM) across multiple partners Enable repeatable execution across accounts, partners, and campaigns

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience preferred.

Experience

5+ years’ experience working in a consultative Marketing role.

Experience in the technology sector—preferably in software, data or cloud—partner/channel marketing, and/or account management. Experience as an SDR will be considered.

Comfort and familiarity serving as a marketing subject matter expert that can coach and nurture marketing planning AND tactical execution.

Experience of planning, managing and executing marketing plans and campaigns as well as experience liaising with third party agencies. Understanding of MDF programs and process preferred.

Good knowledge of marketing best practices (e.g. email marketing, SEO, SEA, social networks, display advertising, video production) and offline Marketing campaign types (e.g. events, telemarketing, print advertising, sponsoring, incentives) Experience supporting partners with co-sell and marketing execution Ability to support with driving consistent flow of qualified leads into the co-sell process

Skills

Excellent client liaison skills, ability to react and respond in a timely and effective manner and work with various teams.

Experience with C level messaging and ABM.

Demonstrated experience juggling multiple priorities, successful time management, and balancing competing priorities.

Strong MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel & reporting tools with the ability to present information in a consistent and professional manner.

Channel knowledge – consisting of Consulting Firms, GSI & SI preferred; experience with GSI preferred.
