Role Purpose

The IG Data Management Analyst performs day-to-day electronic data migration and information governance support for a client-dedicated team. Reporting to the IG Data Management Manager, the Analyst works closely with client Information Governance leadership to export content from iManage, prepare and validate data for import into Harvey, and support other approved data management initiatives.

The role also provides Level 1 response for IG-related technology requests, with a focus on accurate intake, timely resolution, clear documentation, and appropriate escalation.

Key Responsibilities

Data Migration & Processing

Execute approved data migration activities, including iManage exports and preparation of data for import into Harvey.

Use established export tools, procedures, naming standards, and validation steps to process requests consistently.

Review source and output data for completeness, accuracy, organization, and readiness before handoff or import.

Maintain clear work records, status updates, exception logs, and supporting documentation for each migration request.

Identify access, data quality, configuration, or processing issues and escalate them promptly to the IG Data Management Manager or designated client contact.

Support additional electronic data management initiatives as priorities and procedures are established.

Harvey, Microsoft Copilot & Responsible AI Support Use Harvey and Microsoft Copilot in accordance with client-approved access, training, ethical-use requirements, and information governance standards.

Partner with client Information Governance stakeholders to perform assigned data preparation, migration, and validation activities involving approved AI platforms.

Protect confidential and client information by following all applicable handling, access, security, and acceptable-use requirements.

Document repeatable workflows and lessons learned to strengthen team knowledge and support consistent execution.

Level 1 IG Technology & Service Desk Support Serve as an initial point of contact for assigned IG-related technology questions and service requests received by phone, email, chat, or ticketing tools.

Gather complete request details, assess impact and urgency, perform approved Level 1 troubleshooting, and resolve issues within the scope of documented guidance.

Create accurate, descriptive, and complete tickets that capture the reported issue, actions taken, outcome, and next steps.

Escalate requests that require elevated access, specialized technical knowledge, or additional investigation while maintaining clear communication with the requester.

Contribute to a responsive, professional service experience and support agreed service expectations.

Quality, Documentation & Continuous Improvement Follow standard operating procedures, quality controls, and client-specific requirements for all assigned work.

Perform peer or self-review checks as assigned and promptly correct identified errors.

Maintain knowledge articles, process notes, job aids, and training materials as workflows evolve.

Identify recurring issues, process gaps, and opportunities to reduce rework or improve turnaround, and raise recommendations through the Manager.

Participate in training, team meetings, and operational reviews.

Collaboration & Professional Conduct

Work collaboratively with the IG Data Management Manager, client Information Governance stakeholders, Opensity stakeholders, and related technology teams.

Communicate status, risks, blockers, and completion clearly and promptly.

Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

Maintain reliable attendance and availability consistent with assigned coverage and operational needs.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Working knowledge of document management, electronic records, data migration, or technical support concepts.

Ability to learn and apply iManage export tools, Harvey, Microsoft Copilot, ticketing systems, and client-specific workflows.

Strong attention to detail with the ability to validate data, recognize exceptions, and maintain accurate documentation.

Effective written, verbal, and customer service skills, including the ability to explain technical information clearly.

Sound judgment within defined procedures and the ability to escalate appropriately when an issue is outside the role’s authority or access.

Strong organization, follow-through, critical thinking, and time-management skills.

Ability to work independently while remaining collaborative, accountable, and receptive to feedback.

Commitment to confidentiality, data security, responsible AI use, and professional service.

Qualifications

Required

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience in data processing, records and information governance, document management, service desk, technical support, or another detail-intensive operational environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications and comfort learning new technology platforms.

Ability to work for prolonged periods at a computer and perform remote, client-dedicated work.

Preferred

Experience with iManage or another legal document management system.

Experience with electronic data exports, imports, migrations, file transfers, or validation activities.

Experience using a ticketing platform and providing Level 1 support.

Experience in a law firm, legal services, records management, information governance, or other regulated environment.

Prior exposure to Harvey, Microsoft Copilot, or other enterprise AI tools within an approved governance framework.

Success in This Role

Success is demonstrated through accurate and well-documented migration work, consistent adherence to approved procedures, responsive Level 1 support, clear escalation of risks and exceptions, protection of confidential information, and productive collaboration with the Manager and client stakeholders.

Physical & Technology Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Reliable internet connectivity and a work environment suitable for confidential client work.

Use of required security, authentication, and device-management tools on approved devices, consistent with company and client policy.

The Compensation range for this role is up to 25.00 USD per hour. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's location, skills, experience and qualifications.
