About the role

Company Overview

Imagine a piloted air taxi that takes off vertically, then quietly carries you and your fellow passengers over the congested city streets below, enabling you to spend more time with the people and places that matter most. At Joby, we've been working to make that dream a reality since 2009 and we're now in the final stages of certifying our aircraft with the FAA.

With plans to launch our aircraft in the US and Dubai, we're now scaling manufacturing and preparing for the launch of our commercial service.

In this executive-facing role, you will define the corporate safety frameworks, policies, and metrics that protect our workforce and ensure total regulatory compliance.

You will lead the integration of industrial EHS standards into Joby’s advanced corporate Safety Management System (SMS), bridging manufacturing safety with aviation safety culture. You will provide strategic governance to site-level EHS leaders and serve as the principal advisor to Joby’s executive leadership team.

10+ years of progressive experience in EHS leadership, with a proven track record of architecting corporate safety programs for multi-site organizations

Demonstrated experience integrating industrial safety with aviation/aerospace Safety Management Systems (SMS) or highly regulated quality frameworks
