About the Role

Join the Core team at a B2B customer data platform company and own critical parts of its data syncing engine. You will build reliable, high-performance infrastructure that moves data across multi-cloud and multi-region environments.

What You'll Do

Lead projects from initial design through production with significant autonomy.

Build and optimize the data syncing engine to move large volumes of data efficiently.

Implement streaming capabilities for real-time syncing from webhooks and message queues.

Find performance bottlenecks and design systems that can scale through substantial growth.

Improve low-latency APIs and develop caching layers to meet performance goals.

Extend multi-region and multi-cloud infrastructure to support data residency needs.

What We're Looking For

At least 7 years of backend software engineering experience, with deep expertise in distributed systems and systems design.

Experience building and scaling complex backend systems, including data syncing engines that process terabytes of data daily.

Production experience with Kafka, SQL databases, Kubernetes, Docker, and message queues.

Understanding of streaming and batch processing frameworks, such as Spark and Flink, and experience working close to the infrastructure layer.

Experience building event collection or data streaming services that support critical systems.

A track record of scaling systems through substantial growth and working at high-velocity startups, ideally across Series A through Series E stages.

Strong computer science fundamentals, communication skills, and ability to learn quickly.

Compensation & Benefits

The salary range is $180,000 to $320,000 USD annually. Visa sponsorship is available.
