As Evo’s Product Manager, Live Events, you will serve as an architect of live event products and experiences across Evo’s global portfolio. This is a product and experience design role first: you are the keybearer of the consumer, competitor, and attendee experience, shaping what fans and players encounter on-site
You will define product specifications, tournament format architectures, match pacing, and experiential guidelines. Working upstream, you will create the product briefs and product charters that define our live offerings, handing them off to Event Production and continuing to regularly support stakeholder teams with execution and creative design direction as needed.
In close collaboration with internal teams and external partners, you will champion product consistency, competitive integrity, and fan-first innovation across all domestic and international events.
Reporting Structure
You will report to the Senior Product Manager.
Architect and champion the on-site consumer, competitor and attendee experience, ensuring all live event features and Evo’s competitive offering delivers high engagement, clear spatial flow, and authentic community resonance.
Write comprehensive feature briefs and competitive guidelines for flagship tournaments, stage presentations, and interactive show-floor activations.
Oversee the product design of tournament and non-tournament attendee features (e.g., Free-Play Arenas, Casuals Lounges, and Community Showcase stages) to maximize attendee satisfaction and engagement Serve as the primary product stakeholder for live events; defining clear success metrics, attendee journeys, and experience standards globally.
Own the conceptualization, development and delivery of game publisher experiences at Evo through programming, show feature and broader product integration a Evo’s live events Define and document detailed product specifications for all ticket types, badge add-ons, and competitor entry tiers, ensuring clear feature deliverables and on-site entitlements for each pass.
Support the design, development, and execution of tournament structures, formats, rulesets, and logistics, ensuring they meet Evo standards and player expectations.
Manage the tournament staffing pipeline, ensuring hiring and operational procedures are completed.
Drive coordination between Evo teams, tournament staff, broadcast production, and general event staff to bring products to life on-site and online.
Maintain product roadmaps, documentation, and reporting to ensure alignment across departments.
Contribute to the design and templatization of product intake briefs, tournament design toolkits, and repeatable playbooks to scale event delivery across regions.
Responsible for comprehensive post-event product reporting, engagement metrics, competitor sentiment, attendance data, and station throughput analysis to guide subsequent iterations.
Analyze competitive trends, meta shifts, ruleset feedback, and post-event survey data to continuously evolve Evo’s competitive product.
Collaborate with Evo teams to develop and execute unique event formats that enhance on-site and competitive experiences.
Integrate seamlessly with Evo’s global partners, including game publishers, to provide best practices, operational guidance, and coordination for Evo events worldwide.
Work closely with Production, Operations, and Creative teams to deliver activations and new experiences at live events.
Work closely with other product teams to collate, analyse and present business insights and data.
Collaborate with Evo teams to ideate, define, and refine new Evo products to drive on-site experiences for fighting game fans worldwide.
On-Site Product Execution & Floor Support As needed, oversee the on-the-ground execution of tournament products and experiential features, ensuring station layouts, signage, bracket flows, and match pacing match approved product briefs.
Support the delivery of publisher showcases and partner stages on-site, serving as a tactical liaison to verify game builds, test station peripherals, and confirm running orders match partner specifications.
Play a hands-on supporting role in execution by directly coordinating specialized experiential vendors, hardware contractors, arcade technicians, and freelance tournament runners as needed.
Assist Event Operations and Broadcast on-site with rapid, practical adjustments on the floor, troubleshooting competitive setup issues without disrupting broader venue schedules.
5+ years of experience in product management, competitive gaming/esports design, or live consumer experience design.Strong ability to translate creative concepts and community needs into clear, actionable product briefs and documentation for operational teams.
Proven track record aligning cross-functional teams (Operations, Creative, Broadcast, Marketing, BD) around a unified product vision.
Experience interfacing with external IP holders, game developers, or commercial sponsors to execute joint activations.
Strong passion for and familiarity with fighting games, the FGC, or competitive gaming ecosystems.

The salary for this role is $90,000 to $110,000, based on experience and qualifications.
