We are seeking a Principal Product Manager to build the platform behind HealthEquity Marketplace, a managed affiliate platform designed to help our members get more health and healthcare per dollar through our affiliated partner brands.
You will build and evolve the components that make Marketplace personalized, automated, and highly converting. This role builds the personalization and ranking systems that decide what each member sees, the configuration tools that let us compose unique offerings and assortments, and the automation that lets us place, rotate, and launch offers at speed.
The primary outcomes are conversion lift, repeat purchase, and configuration velocity.
This is a 0-to-1-to-scale opportunity that sits within the Product organization.
Build and scale the affiliate platform to increase offering throughput and speed to market Build and operate the configuration layer that automates management of inventory, placement, rotations, product detail pages, product listing pages, and partner links Build the product data pipeline & front-end application that allows merchandising team to manage offerings, prices, and partners changes Replace manual merchandising work with rules, templates, and automated validation so changes ship in hours, not weeks Build connections to enterprise tools/services such as DAM, CDP, analytics tools, experimentation platforms, and personalization engines Make the platform self-serve so non-technical functions can ship changes themselves Own launch speed and operational load as success metrics
Own the real-time platform that decides what each member sees and how well it converts Build the personalization and ranking system across search, recommendations, and category pages, working with analytics, data science and data engineering on the models behind it Turn member context (segment, eligibility, balance activity, health context, etc) into powerful inputs Own metrics including (1) attach rate, (2) repeat transaction per member, (3) personalization-attributable conversion lift, measured against a holdout Run a high-frequency experimentation roadmap across ranking, placement, and offer logic
Define the roadmap and run the operating model for the Marketplace platform Define the Platform & Personalization OKRs, with clear prioritization on roadmap & GTM Establish product processes and working rhythms across Product, Engineering, Design, and the merchandising and growth teams you serve Set measurement and instrumentation standards across personalization, assortment, and placement Work cross-functionally with privacy, compliance, marketing, data engineering, and merchandising teams to remove blockers and accelerate delivery Keep the platform fast while holding quality, data accuracy, and accountability as Marketplace scales
8+ years of product management experience with significant depth in personalization, affiliate marketing, ecommerce, or marketplaces Fluency partnering with data science on ranking and recommendation models:
you engage credibly with senior engineers and data scientists on tradeoffs, evaluation, and experiment design, without building the models yourself Experience in merchandising, affiliate, or catalog platforms, such as product information management or product feed automation Comfort in regulated environments where compliance requirements shape what can be shown and how Have driven 30% or more of your throughput via AI enabled tools and development processes
HSA / FSA familiarity a plus
Working knowledge of HIPAA, PHI and related healthcare data privacy controls

$127000.00 To $165000 / year
The actual compensation offer is determined based on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, and work location. This position will be eligible for performance-based incentives and restricted stock units as part of the total compensation package, in addition to a full range of benefits including:

This is a remote role, with an in-person onboarding training component. New team members must participate in Trailhead, HealthEquity’s immersive onboarding experience Trailhead is designed to foster meaningful connections, support your integration into the organization, and equip you with a strong understanding of our business.
Trailhead participation is a key expectation of this role. Trailhead is held onsite at our headquarters once per quarter. HealthEquity covers all required travel and accommodations.
This role may begin with a virtual, self-paced onboarding experience, followed by a mandatory onsite Trailhead session at a later date.
