A-Alpha Bio is seeking a Senior Account Executive to own the end-to-end sales process for our Western North America and APAC territories. Typically, these deals are complex, consultative, and large-dollar-value technical sales made to scientific buyers at pharmaceutical companies, biotechnology companies, AI model-makers, and similar organizations.
Success in this role will require hunting new logos, expanding existing accounts, and carrying a bookings quota across the full product portfolio. Cross-functional work with marketing, technical, and other internal teams is a key part of this role.
Own all revenue generation in the Western North America and APAC territory, selling the complete A-Alpha portfolio (including Atlas Data Consortium subscriptions, Data Block licenses, and antibody optimization programs).
Source, qualify, and close net-new business through robust outbound prospecting, conference presence, and inbound follow-up.
Manage and expand existing territory accounts.
Run complex, multi-stakeholder extended sales cycles, collaborating with scientific champions, procurement and legal teams, and executive sponsors.
Communicate deeply technical value propositions, including how large-scale protein interaction data improves machine learning models, while also leveraging support from internal scientific teams.
Maintain rigorous pipeline hygiene and forecast accuracy in Salesforce, manage lead capture and follow-up, and participate in weekly forecast cadence.
Prepare quotes and coordinate agreements (including CDAs, data license agreements, and statements of work) with deal desk and legal resources.
Develop the APAC market by covering inbound and outbound across this geography (including meetings across time zones and representation of A-Alpha at regional events, as needed).
Utilize modern AI tools throughout the sales workflow and supporting business processes.
Bachelor's degree in life science, machine learning, or a related technical discipline, with 5-8 years of quota-carrying sales experience selling to pharmaceutical and biotech accounts; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience selling novel or platform technologies that require educating a scientific audience.
Demonstrated ownership of complex sales processes involving multiple stakeholders and long sales cycles.
Ability to travel up to 50% (both domestic and international).
Proficiency running pipeline and forecast in Salesforce or an equivalent CRM.
Advanced degree (MS, PhD, etc.) in life science, machine learning, or a related technical field.
Experience at a startup or early commercial stage company.
Experience selling data licensing, subscriptions, software, or multi-month scientific services such as CRO or CDMO programs.
Existing relationships within West Coast biopharma, biotech, or AI-driven drug discovery companies.
Experience with APAC markets (sales or business development).
Working familiarity with machine learning for protein engineering or drug discovery.
Hands-on experience with AI tools such as LLMs and agents for prospecting, account planning, forecasting, and business process improvement.
