We are seeking a motivated ServiceNow Junior Developer to join our team and grow their skills in developing and maintaining ServiceNow applications. This position will support a high-profile federal government contract so candidate must be willing to undergo the federal clearance process. The ideal candidate will have foundational knowledge of ServiceNow platform capabilities, a strong desire to learn, and the ability to work on ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, and emerging AI technologies including NowAssist under the guidance of senior team members.
Assist in developing and configuring ServiceNow applications across ITSM, ITOM, and CMDB modules Create and modify forms, lists, views, and basic UI components Develop simple workflows, business rules, UI policies, and client scripts Support integration development with third-party systems Learn and assist with NowAssist configuration and AI-powered features Participate in Service Portal customization and widget development
Troubleshoot and resolve basic technical issues in ServiceNow applications Perform routine platform maintenance tasks and configurations Create and maintain update sets for code deployments Conduct basic testing and quality assurance activities Document technical solutions and configurations Assist with platform upgrades and testing
Configure and customize ITSM processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Service Catalog) Support ITOM implementations including Discovery and Service Mapping Assist with CMDB data modeling and CI relationship configurations Help maintain data quality and integrity in the CMDB Support implementation of NowAssist features in ITSM workflows
Participate in training programs and ServiceNow certification courses Shadow senior developers and learn best practices Stay current with ServiceNow releases and new features Contribute to team knowledge sharing and documentation Learn about AI/ML capabilities and Virtual Agent development Attend team code reviews and technical discussions
Work closely with senior developers, architects, and business analysts Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives) Communicate progress and blockers effectively to team members Support end-users with basic technical questions Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
6+ months of hands-on ServiceNow experience (professional, academic, or personal development instance) Basic understanding of ITSM processes and concepts Exposure to ITOM and CMDB fundamentals Awareness of AI technologies and interest in learning NowAssist capabilities Familiarity with ServiceNow Studio and development environment Basic understanding of version control concepts Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) Ability to read and understand technical documentation Basic debugging and troubleshooting skills ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)

ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in ITSM Completed NowAssist or AI/ML training modules Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies Exposure to Flow Designer or Workflow Editor Basic knowledge of Integration Hub ITIL v4 Foundation certification or willingness to obtain
