Sketching a proof-of-work idea…
Who likely hires for this role, a LinkedIn search pre-filled to find them, and a short intro written for this exact job — you send it yourself.
If you’ve worked alongside hardware teams, you know how much a single dropped handoff can cost. Reflow exists to close that gap. We’re building the first AI-powered platform purpose-built for hardware product development. It listens across the tools teams already use, maintains a structured picture of every program, and coordinates across teams when things inevitably change.
This is a rare chance for a product leader who has actually run hardware programs to build the tool they always wished existed. You’ll have the backing of a parent company leading innovation in engineering and manufacturing, with direct access to real hardware programs and the engineers who run them.
We’re looking for a hands-on product leader who came up through hardware. You might have been an NPI or hardware program manager, a systems or EE lead who ran programs, or a product manager embedded deep in hardware development. Whatever the path, you understand how a real program actually runs. You’ve taken products from 0 to 1, you’re energized by a blank page, and you’d rather get three things in front of users than perfect one deck.
This is a builder’s role. You’ll report directly to Reflow’s general manager, who owns overall product vision and strategy. Your job is to own execution, discovery, and the details, and to be the person who makes the right product real and ships it on time. You should already be using AI tools to accelerate your own work, and you should be excited to build the first AI-native platform for complex hardware development.
Owning product execution end to end, from talking to hardware engineers, to writing specs and PRDs, to working daily with engineering to ship Running discovery across our early adopter program, which spans several dozen internal and external companies, getting into the real workflows of hardware program execution and turning them into product Being the domain voice in the room, able to talk credibly with an EE, a mechanical lead, or a program manager about their actual pain and earn their trust in the first conversation Driving the roadmap and hitting dates by setting realistic timelines, communicating them clearly, and delivering against them consistently Writing clearly and concisely across specs, updates, and customer-facing material, because writing is how product gets built here Prototyping and demoing, putting things in front of users early, running the demo yourself, and iterating on what you learn
Direct experience running hardware program execution, whether as an NPI or hardware program manager, a hardware, systems, or EE lead who ran programs, or a PM embedded deep in hardware development Demonstrated 0-to-1 experience taking a new product from a blank page to something real and shipped, whether hardware or software High output and a bias to action, with a track record of shipping Excellent written communication that is clear, concise, and structured, with the ability to turn a messy problem into a one-page spec anyone can act on Deadline discipline: you set commitments, keep them, and flag slippage early Deep subject-matter credibility with hardware engineers and program teams Comfort using AI tools to accelerate your own work
Experience building software for engineers or manufacturing (PLM, MES, EDA, ALM, dev tools, or similar) Hands-on experience building AI or LLM-powered products Prior early-stage, 0-to-1 startup experience Technical enough to prototype (scripting or vibe-coding a wireframe) Deep fluency with the hardware NPI lifecycle: phase-gate reviews (EVT/DVT/PVT), cross-team dependencies, engineering changes (ECRs/ECOs), and BOM/PLM workflows
Real Impact: The opportunity to build purpose-built tooling for an entire industry that has never had it Customer Access: Direct exposure to hundreds of real hardware projects annually through Re:Build’s engineering and manufacturing companies Technical Growth: Hands-on work with advanced AI technologies solving novel technical challenges Autonomy: Backed by Re:Build while operating with startup independence
Full health/dental/vision, bonus program, generous 401K, paid time off, annual learning stipend Equity & Growth: Participation in Re:Build’s LTIP equity program and opportunity for founder equity in potential spin-out
Location: Remote-first, with preference for candidates in Boston, Seattle, Los Angeles, or other cities with Re:Build offices Compensation: The base salary range for this position is $164,000
